This past New Years I set a goal to write daily and have 10,000 monthly visitors to this site by the end of the year. I’m excited to write that this month we’ve met that goal. March 2018 is the first month ever that this blog has broken 10,000 views. Most exciting, sustained daily traffic is up too. While this site gets a few big bumps, like when I published Why Bitcoin Cash matters, things are increasing on the whole as well.
Reddit, Twitter and Google are now the top traffic sources where previously traffic came mostly through Facebook and Google and the reader response has been really incredible. I’ve received dozens of emails, Twitter messages and tips from readers around the world.
Last week I was in Tokyo at the Satoshi’s Vision Conference and had at least 20 people tell me they read this site and a few have even done me the great favor of translating some of their favorite posts into Spanish, Czech, German and Portuguese.
Moving forward, nothing much is changing. I plan to keep writing daily and covering any topic I care about. That includes career building, education, dropping out of college, Bitcoin Cash, writing, literature, travel, history, and anything else that comes to mind. I’ll continue experimenting to try to make this blog more valuable to readers and I’ve got a project or two in the works as well as some post series I’m planning to do just that.
And thank you all. I’d be writing still even if I had no readers, but you all make it way more fun and fulfilling. If there’s something in particular you’re interested in having me write about, just ask.
