So I’m finishing up my apprenticeship soon and interviewing for some remote positions at startups. I had a call today with a cool design company and it’s amazing how starkly different my ability to answer typical job interview questions is compared to six months ago.
When they ask me about my proudest accomplishments, my ideal work environment, hobbies, and professional goals, I can clearly communicate with concrete examples. I no longer stumble around wondering how to respond like most recent college graduates do. Thanks, Praxis.

I’ve led a team of over 10 freelancers…
My apprenticeship was entirely results oriented. I led a team of over 10 freelancers to grade and append over 60,000 leads in Salesforce. After I finished that project, I transferred to sales full-time, and I’ve since been promoted from Sales Development Rep to Sales Executive.
Since being promoted to Sales Executive, I’ve had to create my own opportunities, monitor all my leads, and close my own accounts. It’s been the most difficult thing I’ve ever done, but I’m starting to get the hang of it.
Tomorrow I start my new full-time job.
Tomorrow I start my new full-time job. I’m 17 years old with no college experience or even a high school diploma. Yet tomorrow I will start as an Account Executive at a small marketing company.
‘Bachelor’s degree preferred’ it said on the job description before the interview.
“You’re only 17 how are you going to get that job? You’re crazy” I was told by my friends and family.
I surpassed college grads and was hired. Thanks to Praxis, I’ve found that the bar is low. It doesn’t take much to show a company how you will create value for them.
Let’s keep on breaking the mold.

It’s exciting, challenging, and forces me to be creative to solve problems while communicating with and appeasing a wide demographic of people.
I work for Go Realty, a real estate brokerage, development, and management startup, which is based out of Pittsburgh, PA.The most exciting project I’ve worked on is the personal management of half a dozen short-term rental properties. I field all inquiries, communicate with all our guests, coordinate cleaning and repairs. I’m the person our guests call when the furnace breaks on a cold Pittsburgh night. It’s exciting, challenging, and forces me to be creative to solve problems while communicating with and appeasing a wide demographic of people.
It took one month of Praxis to move closer to my goals than I did during a year of college.
In Praxis, I am surrounded by dozens of bright young professionals relentlessly developing themselves.
The programming is full of actionable ways to get to the next level every day. It took one month of Praxis to move closer to my goals than I did during a year of college. Yes, it is that rapid.
During the program, I experienced a psychological rebirth. College was a toxic environment that slowly killed my creative and curious soul.
The ambitious cannot let the average hold them back by sacrificing their talents and aspirations for security and mediocrity. The only way to build that life is to pursue it without fear of dumb things.
Stop feeding the monster and break the mold.

Just 1 month in, I already have several promising apprenticeship prospects.
I have been in the Praxis program for 1 month so far and have been very impressed. I have learned several professional skills, especially with regards to professional communication, and have built a solid online presence for myself. I have had the opportunity to meet and network with lots of interesting and passionate people, and the staff has been so helpful and responsive to any questions I have had. I have no doubt that they are working to help me have the best opportunities and experience in the program. Just 1 month in, I already have several promising apprenticeship prospects. I definitely recommend looking into the program to anyone who is curious about it.
Thank you, Praxis!
Praxis not only helped me land an awesome job that I love doing, but helped me develop a mindset of personal growth and value-creation. Thank you, Praxis!
Sometimes when I talk about Praxis with people, they say that startups will hire without a degree, but that it’ll be impossible to get ahead in an established company.
Well they were wrong. At the end of the month, I’m going to be leaving Pittsburgh and my Praxis BP and move the St. Pete in Florida to work as an analyst for the Tampa Bay Rays (Baseball Team).
During the interview process, I found that my lack of a degree actually helped me in a lot of areas. Whenever I was asked about how I learned some algorithm or developed some skill, I had a story about either making it for a personal project, or learning it through work and seeing how it actually integrates with a system to create value.
On top of showing that I had as strong of an “academic” background as an academic, I also had the market experience to understand when certain practices were and weren’t useful. This made me a lot more interesting to the Rays, since I showed initiative to continually learn and had a different story to tell. They loved it.
Build a better signal and people will want you.
I’d never have had this opportunity without Praxis and I’m incredibly grateful for it.
I officially graduated Praxis a few months ago and the mindset and habit shifts have been profound. I’m constantly looking for ways to create value not just in my work, but in my life as well. Not only that but I have discussed, engaged and worked with some of the most interesting, switched on and deeply thoughtful people I’ll probably ever meet. The impact of my experience with Praxis was magnitudes greater than my time at university for my career, my education and my future.
I love that every single day I’m learning a ton and gaining skills through both work and personal projects. A year ago I didn’t know I’d enjoy marketing—I didn’t even really understand what it was. Now I research, design and implement email campaigns, social media content and advertising, sales funnels, create marketing education material, troubleshoot and fix tech issues, and optimise websites for lead gen, search and conversion—and I absolutely love it.
I’d never have had this opportunity without Praxis and I’m incredibly grateful for it. I have no doubt that doing Praxis will benefit me for the rest of my life.
Praxis was a quarter million dollar decision for me.
Praxis was a quarter million dollar decision for me. I offer no exaggeration. I completed the Praxis program from Feb ’14 to Nov ’14, was promptly promoted by my business partner the day it ended to VP of Business Development, and have earned over $250,000 in income since I began at my business partner.
I opted out of college after one year, did some stuff in the middle, and ultimately was introduced to Praxis, a completely life-altering decision. I am a high performance sales professional, a creative marketer, and a valuable professional. I’ve created over $2,000,000 in revenue for my business partner in 2 years, and countless millions in revenue for my clients.
I would not have this life if I had let Praxis be an idle thought instead of number one priority. I have built a life, career, and skills that will carry me through a successful life.
Praxis is to young professionals what accelerators are to startups.
Praxis changed the game for me. It connected me with driven, high-growth, ambitious, life-learners and self-starters. It introduced me to a world where people whowant things go out and get them, on purpose. They don’t wait for good things to come or for permission—they just start building.
The experience as a whole flipped my notions about the aim of education on its head—from going school to “get a job” versus learning as a means to creating a fulfilling life according to my terms.
It challenged me. The curriculum, the underlying philosophy, the people. All
of these elements pushed me beyond the original notions I had about my personal limits. Praxis is to young professionals what accelerators are to startups.

I left the program with two full time job offers…
I spent September 2015 – July 2016 in the Praxis program. It was without a doubt the most productive and wonderful year of my life. I started the program as an 18-year-old high school graduate with no real skills. I left the program with two full time job offers, an awesome website, an article published on Vox, and so much more.

I truly feel like I’m growing and learning every day. Thanks Praxis!
Praxis has launched my career forward by more than I can express. I’ve learned real-life skills that I’ve used to create massive growth during my Apprenticeship.
Most people my age are just beginning their 4-year-long path to massive debt that they’ll be paying for into their 30’s. Meanwhile, I’m spending net $0 on my real-life education.
On top of all the knowledge and skills I’ve gained, I also have an amazing career as Sales Manager at a tech startup. I truly feel like I’m growing and learning every day. Thanks Praxis!
I’ve gone from a completely unskilled marketing intern to manager of a company’s marketing department in just a little more than a year…
Joining the Praxis program’s second class has been one of the best moves of my career and education so far.
I’ve gone from a completely unskilled marketing intern to manager of a company’s marketing department in just a little more than a year, with no college degree and no student debt. I’ve made incredible friends and connections. I’ve finally started and finished creative work that I’ve always wanted to do.
And even now that I’m one year out from graduating, the Praxis experience and community continue to pay off and encourage me to aim higher.
I’m getting so much experience working for my startup Vital Interaction…
I admit, I’m a little evil. I smile going through my feed and seeing half of my class talk about their college struggles (classes they can’t get get, the financial burden, “paying for friends”, etc..) . It makes me know I made the right decision.
I’m getting so much experience working for my startup Vital Interaction and will soon be able to have the knowledge to run my own company within the next couple years. Stay tuned, I’ll be writing a post at the end of the month about my experience so far.
Thank you, Praxis. Lets reinvent the the education system.

I’m more motivated, engaged and productive than I’ve ever been and happier too.
A year ago, I was accepted into Praxis. It has been one of the best decisions I ever made. I’m more motivated, engaged and productive than I’ve ever been and happier too.
Praxis helps me be the best possible me, and I appreciate it greatly.
I come from a slightly different group than the targeted demographic of Praxis. I am a college graduate, and was accepted twice, but got cold feet the first time, and decided to stick school out.
Honestly, all I got was a piece of paper, and some recognition for my family, at the cost of holding back my life for two years. Praxis has placed me in a job that I am loving, and loving more every day.
Praxis is so much more than a job placement though. I would pay just to be a part of the network, which creates the ultimate peer support system I have been a part of. It helps me hone and focus on what I want to do in my life. Praxis helps me be the best possible me, and I appreciate it greatly.

Praxis is 100% legit.
It seems too good to be true, but Praxis is 100% legit. Not only did I land an awesome job without a college degree, but I did it without going into debt. I moved to a new state and learned/accomplished more in one year with Praxis than I did throughout high school and college.

I’m debt-free and starting what I predict will be an incredibly exciting and promising career as a video producer/marketer.
My experience working at my BP was amazing, and I’m now fully equipped with experience capable of being hired easily without a degree. I think it’s so cool to think that at the age of 20, I’m debt-free and starting what I predict will be an incredibly exciting and promising career as a video producer/marketer.
Thanks Praxis, for a remarkable experience, and for an incredible community where I can continue to be a part of the culture/movement of creating value and getting stuff done like people have never seen before.
Here’s to one year out of college.
This last year, I’ve learned more about advertising, social media, and microsoft excel than I ever thought possible.

I haven’t even officially started, but I already have more resources and connections than ever.
I’m scheduled to start November 1st, so I’ve only been working on the Pre-Program Module, but I feel like I’ve already gained so much value. I did one semester of college before taking a break to work full time. After working full time for a while, I decided to start the application process for Praxis, and here I am. I haven’t even officially started, but I already have more resources and connections than ever. I also have much more of a focused idea of where I want to go career-wise (and life-wise!) than I ever did through my experience at college… and that’s only pre-program.
